Saxondale Self Storage at St James Business Park is in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire. The site is on Grantham Road at Saxondale, about six miles from Nottingham and a short drive from West Bridgford and Bingham. You can drive up to your unit. The site is gated, floodlit and covered by CCTV. Book online, then move in between 7am and 7pm.
St James is the original Saxondale Self Storage site. It sits just off the main road between Nottingham and Bingham, so you are not taking a hire van into the city centre.
From Nottingham the drive is about six miles. From West Bridgford you come through Gamston or Radcliffe on Trent. From Bingham it is a short run west. The postcode is NG12 2JP.
Park at the unit and load straight in.
Security gate, floodlighting, CCTV and a high-security padlock on your unit.
Wooden-floored and ventilated. A typical unit is 160 sq ft and around 8 ft high.
7am to 7pm, seven days a week.
One phone number and one online booking system.
Choose St James if you are coming from Nottingham, West Bridgford, Gamston, Edwalton or Radcliffe on Trent and you want to load a van at the unit door.
It is a good fit for a house move, furniture during building work, student storage over the summer, or packed business stock. Bingham customers can use it too if they want the drive-up layout, or if this site has the size they need.
From Nottingham, follow the A52 east towards Grantham. Stay on that road past Radcliffe on Trent, then turn into St James Business Park at Saxondale.
From West Bridgford, come through Gamston or Radcliffe on Trent onto Grantham Road. From Bingham, head west and turn into the business park. Use the map on this page for live directions.
Household furniture and boxes, student belongings, tools, files and packed stock are all typical here. If you are storing pallets or an awkward commercial load, book a size and call so we can check the approach.
If you are coming from Bingham, Cropwell Bishop or the villages around Henson Lane, Upper Saxondale Business Park may be the shorter drive. It is the same company.
You can book a viewing first if you would rather see the site. That is optional.
Most customers are moving house, clearing a room, or putting furniture somewhere safe while building work is finished. Students use the site over the summer. Local businesses use it for packed stock, tools and files they do not need every day.
A typical unit is 160 sq ft with around 8 ft of height. Packed well, that is enough for a three-bedroom home. If you only have boxes and a few pieces of furniture, ask whether a smaller unit is free when you book.
Start with the largest items: wardrobes, sofas, mattresses, fridges and desks. Then count boxes by room. Pack things clean and dry, wrap polished furniture, and leave a narrow aisle if you will need to take something out before you finish the storage.
Do not store food, anything that can leak, or prohibited or dangerous goods. Ask about insurance when you book. Goods are not automatically covered just because they are on site.
The same two sites cover household and business storage. Choose the type that matches what you need, then pick a unit.
St James Business Park is on Grantham Road, Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, NG12 2JP. The site sits at Saxondale, about six miles east of Nottingham and a short drive from West Bridgford and Bingham. Put NG12 2JP in the sat nav. Customer access is 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, through the business-park gate. Call 0300 124 7544 if you would like someone to meet you on a first visit.
Yes. At St James you load at the unit rather than through a lift or a long corridor. That is why house moves, furniture and bulky business loads work well here. If you are bringing anything larger than a standard hire van, mention it when you book.
A typical unit is 160 sq ft with around 8 ft of height, enough for a three-bedroom home packed well. The public guide price is £110 a month for the 10ft (80 sq ft) unit and £149 a month for the 20ft (160 sq ft) unit. The price you pay is the live price shown when you book online. There may be a smaller unit available on some dates. The sizes and prices page explains what fits.
You can access St James from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, including weekends. That is customer access through the business-park gate, not staffed office hours. Please do not arrive outside that window. If it is your first visit, call 0300 124 7544 so the team can talk you through the gate.
The site is gated, floodlit and covered by CCTV. You lock your own unit with a high-security padlock. Saxondale Self Storage is a member of the Self Storage Association. Ask about insurance when you book rather than assuming goods are covered automatically.
Household furniture, boxes, student belongings, tools, packed stock and files are all typical. Tell us about anything very large, heavy, fragile or valuable before you arrive. Food, leaking items, prohibited and dangerous goods cannot be stored.
Ask about Upper Saxondale Business Park on Henson Lane. It is the second Saxondale Self Storage site and is often the easier journey from Bingham and the villages to the south-east. Same team, same online booking.
Choose St James, pick a unit size and book online. You will get confirmation and access instructions by email, then move in between 7am and 7pm. If you would rather see the site first, book a viewing or call 0300 124 7544.
Choose a size, book online and move in during published access hours. Call 0300 124 7544 if you want a viewing or you are storing something unusual.
