Self storage near you
Secure units a short drive from the city, without taking a hire van into the centre. Book online and move in when you are ready.
Drive up to your doorPark right at your container and load straight in.
Self storage in Nottingham is available from Saxondale Self Storage at two sites just east of the city: St James Business Park in Radcliffe on Trent and Upper Saxondale Business Park on Henson Lane. Most people coming from the city use St James, where you can drive up to the unit. Book online, then move in during that site’s access hours.
We do not have a store in the city centre. The sites sit just outside Nottingham so you can park, load and leave without lifts or tight streets.
St James Business Park is on Grantham Road at Saxondale, Radcliffe on Trent. That is the usual site for people coming from Nottingham and West Bridgford. Upper Saxondale Business Park is on Henson Lane and is often closer if you are coming from Bingham.
Both sites are run by the same team. You use one phone number and the same online booking.
House moves are the most common reason. If completion slips, furniture and boxes can sit in a unit instead of a hallway. People also store belongings during building work, clear a spare room, or keep student things over the summer.
Local businesses use the same sites for packed stock, tools and files they do not need every day. A typical unit is 160 sq ft and around 8 ft high, enough for a three-bedroom home packed well. Guide prices start from £110 a month for a 10ft unit, or £149 for a 20ft unit. The live price is shown when you book.
From Nottingham city and the south of the city, start with St James. You can drive up to the unit. Access is 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, through the business-park gate.
Choose Upper Saxondale if that journey is shorter, or if St James does not have the size you need.

From the city, follow the main road east towards Grantham and turn into St James Business Park at Saxondale. Use NG12 2JP. From West Bridgford, come through Gamston or Radcliffe on Trent.
The map on this page gives live directions. If you are coming from the far north or west of Nottingham with only a few boxes, call first. We would rather say the drive is not worth it than take an awkward booking.
You can book a viewing first if you would rather see the site. That is optional.
The same two sites cover household and business storage. Choose the type that matches what you need, then pick a unit.
Saxondale Self Storage has two sites just east of the city. St James Business Park in Radcliffe on Trent, NG12 2JP, is the usual choice from Nottingham. Upper Saxondale Business Park on Henson Lane, NG12 2LE, is the second site. Neither is in the city centre, which is the point. You can drive to the unit.
St James is about six miles east of Nottingham. For a loaded van that is often simpler than a city-centre store with parking limits and a lift.
Yes, at St James. Load at the door. If you need the same arrangement at Upper Saxondale, say so when you book and we will confirm how that site works.
A 10ft (80 sq ft) unit has a guide price of £110 a month, and a typical 20ft (160 sq ft) unit £149 a month. The price you pay is the live price shown when you book. The sizes and prices page explains what fits.

Yes. Summer student storage and furniture during a house move are two of the most common uses from Nottingham. Book as soon as you know your dates, especially in June and July.
Yes, if the load suits the unit. Packed stock, tools and files are typical. Pallet or awkward commercial loads should be checked by phone first.
Both sites are gated, floodlit and covered by CCTV. You lock your own unit with a high-security padlock. Saxondale Self Storage is a member of the Self Storage Association. Ask about insurance when you book rather than assuming goods are covered automatically.
Household furniture, boxes, student belongings, tools, packed stock and files are all typical. Tell us about anything very large, heavy, fragile or valuable before you arrive. Food, leaking items, prohibited and dangerous goods cannot be stored.
Choose your site, pick a unit size and book online. You will get confirmation and access instructions by email, then move in between 7am and 7pm. If you would rather see the site first, book a viewing or call 0300 124 7544.

Excellent service, very flexible & reasonably priced (when comparing like for like size of storage unit). Used to move house which got delayed for 2 months, lived in Bingham so was ideal. Would use again.
