Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of data a website stores on, or reads from, your device. This page explains what Saxondale Self Storage does on this website and what you can choose. It sits alongside our Privacy policy.
What we store on your device
This website uses your browser's local storage for two small settings, and Google Analytics cookies if you choose to accept them:
- Unit size (saxSize): remembers whether you are looking at 10ft or 20ft units so prices stay consistent as you move around. It is set only when you choose a size, it is not shared with us, and it needs no consent.
- Cookie choice (saxConsent): remembers whether you accepted or declined Google Analytics, so we do not keep asking. It is not shared with us.
Google Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and how people reach us. It only runs if you accept. When you do, Google sets cookies on your device and receives your IP address and browser details. If you decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and every other part of the site works as normal.
The map
The map on our home page loads automatically. Your browser fetches the Leaflet mapping code from cdnjs.cloudflare.com and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those services receive your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the files, and OpenStreetMap may set its own technical data. You can still use the directions links on each site.
Things that only happen when you use them
- Postcode finder: the postcode you type is sent to postcodes.io to work out the distance to our sites. It happens only when you submit it.
- Links to other services: YouTube, what3words, Google Maps and our online booking pages are separate websites with their own policies. They are only contacted if you follow a link.
Change your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie choices here or in the footer of any page. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings.

If we add other analytics or marketing tools later we will update this page and ask for your consent first. The date below shows the latest version.
